Event Has Been Rescheduled

Message From The President of CCMGA rescheduled A Walk In The Park to September 27, 2025.

To all Collin County Master Gardeners and friends of CCMGA:
We regret to inform everyone that A Walk in the Park, previously scheduled for Saturday, June 7, in Myers Park, has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 27.
The rainy spring weather has been a problem that compounded in many ways for the Myers Park Garden Manager team. With the time remaining, combined with conditions out of our control, it is in everyone's best interest to reschedule.

In the wise words of our County Extension Agent, Brad Voss, M.S., the horticultural sum of the situation is:
"North Texas clay soils are incredibly difficult in the best of conditions. Extreme spring moisture is not a recipe for successful planting, plus it can delay early plant growth. Plants in waterlogged soils tend to lag behind. We can offer a much more impressive show in the fall. Give those plants some time to show out!"

Please update your calendars, and we hope to see all of our volunteers, participants, and garden friends on September 27, 9:00 am to noon.

Thank you!
Mary Melinda Williams, CCMGA President
