Master Gardener Events

Our annual events provide gardeners the opportunity to purchase plants and to learn more about gardening in North Texas.  These fundraisers help support research and demonstration gardens and other educational presentations and workshops throughout the year.

A Walk In The Park

Discover The Resilience Of Plants

Come see which plants endured our winter weather and will continue to thrive in the heat of our Texas summer. Collin County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions and share research-based horticultural information. There will be children’s activities and demonstrations as well. Stroll the international award-winning Earth-Kind® research and demonstration gardens with us.
 
Cost: FREE, open to the public
When: Saturday, June 3 • 9 am-noon. (Rain Date: June 10)
Where: Myers Park & Event Center
Parking: In front of The Landing

Come to Lowes with your gardening and landscape questions in the Garden Center. The Collin County and Dallas County Master Gardeners will be there to help you! Look for the table set up there with the smiling Master Gardeners!

Ask The Master Gardener Booth at Puckett's

Your Collin County Master Gardeners will again be at Puckett's to answer your gardening and landscape questions. Look for them under the BIG Tree out back of the customer service building. Look for the smiling Master Gardeners in the Green and Blue shirts! See you there! 

Tree Care Workshop

WHEN: Sep 09 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM      WHERE: Myers Park, McKinney, TX

REGISTRATION BEGINS JUNE 15TH.

(Mark Your Calendar -- Limited Seating Available)

This workshop is presented by a variety of Extension and Tree Care specialists and includes: 

   * tree selection & planting

    * benfits of trees in your landscape, including value added benefits and ecological benefits

     * proper irrgation. 

     * integrated pest management, common diseases and  insects. 

Who should attend?  Homeowners,  HOA management & HOA Board members, residential & commericial landscaping contractors, city & municipal contractors and those interested in preserving trees.

The workshop will include free materials to help you advance your knowledge of proper tree selection, planting and care.
