Information Booths

A retail nursery in Allen provided the setting for this interaction of Master Gardeners and customers.

Upon request the Collin County Master Gardeners disseminate sound, research-based horticultural information to the public is via Information Booths at local nurseries and at numerous public events throughout the year.

At each event the Information Booth is staffed with knowledgeable Master Gardeners to answer garden related questions. We also provide sample informational handouts on dozens of gardening subjects ranging from fire ant control to growing roses tailored to Texas. The Public can obtain their own copies via the CCMGA web site at this link

If your organization or retail nursery is planning a special event and you would like to schedule Master Gardeners to share gardening information with your guests and/or customers in a friendly, one-on-one way, please feel free to contact us. We are also happy to provide plant-related activities and materials for children.

Since we are asked to participate in a number of scheduled events throughout the year, please plan ahead. Allow a few days for a response to your e-mail; the Master Gardener Information Center is not staffed 24/7.
