Allen Library Research & Demonstration Gardens

The Allen Library Research & Demo Gardens are a rainbow of color and you can plan to find unexpected surprises each time you visit.

The garden is maturing and rewarding patrons of the library with beauty and serenity each time they stroll through the courtyard on their way to the entrance. Children are delighted by the butterflies and bees and occasionally surprised by a bunny as it hops through the garden beds.

This treasure is maintained by the Collin County Master Gardeners and affords an ongoing venue for education of the public about Earth-Kind® practices and the role Master Gardeners play.

You can often spot the Master Gardeners working in the gardens, planting, weeding, trimming and watering.  If you see us, stop for a while and visit – we would love to talk with you and answer any questions you may have.
