Fall into Vegetable Gardening

Saturday, July 23, 2016 ~ 9:00 a.m. — Noon

Vegetable gardening in Collin County is a year-round activity.  Whether you are new to vegetable gardening or have years of experience, this program is for you! On July 23rd from 9 a.m. to noon, the Collin County Master Gardeners will teach about raised bed gardens, including how to build them and what to plant for a fall to winter harvest. Our specialists and experts will give presentations on composting and pest management in the vegetable garden. Master Gardeners will be on hand with demonstrations on seed starting and irrigation. At noon there will be a tour of our vegetable demonstration and potager gardens in Myers Park & Event Center in McKinney, Texas.

Registration for Fall into Vegetable Gardening is at www.ccmgatx.org.  Click here to register.

There is a $10/person fee to cover printing and goodie bags. Registration is required. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. in the Landing at Myers Park. The program starts at 9 and ends at noon with the tour. Contact education@ccmgatx.org if you have any questions.
